Synopsis: During the early days of World War II in the Philippines, an aging soldier named Joe refuses evacuation with General Douglas MacArthur and returns home to his village in the mountains of Bataan—only to discover it destroyed by invading Japanese forces. His wife has been murdered, and his teenage daughter, Belen, has been taken prisoner to be shipped away as a comfort woman for the Imperial Army.
With nothing left to lose, Joe embarks on a brutal journey through the jungles of the Philippines to find Belen before she disappears forever. Hunted by enemy patrols and haunted by grief, Joe wages a one-man war against the Japanese regiment led by the ruthless General Hamamatsu, a commander determined to break the spirit of the Filipino people.
As the violence escalates and the jungle becomes a battlefield, father and daughter struggle to survive long enough to find each other again in a nation torn apart by war.
